Right-Brain Drawing (NEW!)
Even if you have never drawn before, this class will show you how to conquer perspective, composition, and shading. This class teaches you how to use your right brain to see things more in depth and to understand how the intellectual side of your brain can keep you from putting on paper what you see. Different techniques are presented each week so you will gain confidence as your skill level increases. Taught by local artist and instructor Nancy Manente. Cost is $72, plus supplies, for 6 - 2-hour classes. For more information, please call the store.
Mondays 6:30pm-8:30pm, starting August 26, 2013. For ages high school and up.
The techniques of acrylic and oil painting, including color theory, paint viscosity, use of brushes/palette knives, substrate (canvas, paper & board) and subject matter, are presented through the development of a painting project over the class sessions. Students may use acrylics, oils, or water-mixable oils. Taught by Nicole Troup. Cost is $72, plus supplies, for 6 - 2-hour classes.
Tuesdays 6:30pm-8:30pm, starting September 3, 2013. View acrylic/oil painting supply list.
Watercolor Painting for Adults
Beginning with basic techniques of working with watercolors, and continuing as skill levels increase, the students will progress at their own paces. Taught by local artist and continuing instructor Marilyn Tracey. This class is taught for both beginners and intermediate watercolor artists. Cost is $72, plus supplies, for 6 - 2-hour classes.
Wednesdays 6:30pm-8:30pm, starting August 28, 2013. View watercolor supply list.
